Reviews
Super good, home style food for a decent price. Would recommend the #1 with that delicious black garlic sauce.
Food: dry fried chicken and rice with a fried egg. So simple, but so good. This place is nostalgic and I haven't been since I was a kid. The food still tastes the same as when I was a kid. Unfortunately it is not $1.99 anymore, it is about $10.99 for the half chicken and rice with an over fried egg and pickled cabbage. My favorite part of the whole dish is their sauce, it's a chopped onion sweet soy sauce with a splash of sesame oil. Service: It is Vietnamese-family owned and there's usually an older man running the front of the store. He's very friendly and will help you out if needed. Dine in was available when we came in around 12:30 pm for lunch and there were only 2 other tables taken. When we ordered our food, it came out within 5 minutes, it was crazy fast. Ambiance: It is an older restaurant, so a bit worn down. Not super clean, but gets the job done. There's plenty of parking within the plaza. We ordered a Che Tai and Che Ba Mau, it tastes homemade and was only about $4 each. Definitely get the job done. Thanks for reading!
They allow dine in now. Solid food, chicken is a tad chewier than normally. No service so i guess good service lol? There's only a guy sitting in front at cashier. Empty during Friday lunch so that's interesting. Def very Vietnamese style, the one where you would have to wipe out the utensils before eating lol. So far ok experience
Come in, sit down, and eat. They are open for dine in again. This is still the best Com Ga Roti in the game even after all these years!
Price is now $11.99 for Cornish hen that comes with red rice, egg, vinegar cabbage and amazing dipping sauce. Still delicious even when the price was $1.99. I wanted to share that the garden grove location will be moving next month. See picture below.
